We at Amrita Vidyalayam, Peroor, celebrated Independence Day with gusto and fanfare. Sri Abdul Hameed, Jail Superintendent, Kollam, was the Chief Guest. He hoisted the National Flag and inaugurated the function. Both the Chief Guest and the Principal addressed the students. Sri Abdul Sir spoke about the integrity of the nation and advised the students to become good citizens and work for the welfare of the country. Our Principal Madam conveyed Amma’s message to the children. Cultural events were also held as part of the celebration.
