Guru Purnima is a festival celebrated nationwide dedicated to the gurus of this world. It is all about worshipping our teachers and showing our gratitude towards them for their invaluable efforts in teaching us.
We, at Amrita Vidyalayam also celebrated Guru Purnima on July 9th, 2014. On this occasion, students performed ‘Pada Puja’ of their parents under the guidance of Bri. Bhavyamrita Chaithanyaji, the in-charge of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Thiruvalla, who graced the occasion with satsang and bhajans.
