The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed in Amrita Vidyalayam, Peroor. Sri.Gangadharan, statistician from the cancer department of AIMS, inaugurated the function. Medical social workers, Sri Manu Mohan, Ms.Neema and Ms.Nandana also spoke on this occasion. They spoke about the problems of eating junk food, drinking alcohol, using tobacco, etc. The social workers also urged the students to protect themselves from serious diseases which are caused by the intake of these kinds of intoxicants.
