June 5th is observed as World Environment Day all over the world. We at Amrita Vidyalayam, Peroor, observed it in a meaningful way. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Prof. C.K. Thangachi, Head of the Department of Zoology, S.N. College, Kollam. She emphasized the importance of the conservation of nature and the planting of more trees. Then the Chief Guest handed over the charge of this project to the President and the Secretary of the Green Friends Club. All the children pledged to take care of Nature.
